Privacy policy
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Energy Stone Energy Outlet (“we,” “us,” or “the Site”) collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you visit our site or place an order with us. We wrote this in plain language on purpose. If anything is unclear, reach out and we will happily explain.
Information We Collect
When you visit or shop with us, we collect a few different types of information, depending on how you interact with the Site.
Device information
When you browse the Site, we automatically collect things like your browser version, IP address, time zone, cookie data, the pages and products you view, search terms, and how you move around the Site.
This helps us load the Site correctly for you and understand how people use it so we can keep improving it. We collect this through cookies, log files, and similar tracking tools. We share this information with our platform provider, Shopify, Google Analytics, and other advertising mediums like Meta Pixel.
Order information
When you make a purchase, we collect your name, billing and shipping address, email address, and phone number, while Shopify collects your payment information. We use this to fulfill your order, process payment, arrange shipping, send confirmations and updates, communicate with you, screen for fraud, and, where you have opted in, keep you posted on new pieces and offers.
Customer support information
If you reach out to us for help, we collect whatever information you share with us in that conversation, such as your name, contact details, and order number. We use this only to support you and resolve your question.
A note on age
Energy Stone Energy Outlet's products are not intended for anyone under the age of twelve. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe your child has shared personal information with us, please contact us at the email below and we will remove it.
How We Share Your Information
We only share your information with the people who help us run the Site and fulfill your order, or when the law requires it. For example:
- We use Shopify to power our online store. You can read about how Shopify handles your data at https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy.
- We may share information if required by law, such as to respond to a subpoena or lawful request, or to protect our rights.
Advertising and Analytics
We sometimes use your information to show you ads or offers we think you will genuinely like. For example:
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the Site. You can read more at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en or opt out at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
We share some information about your visits and purchases with advertising partners so our ads reach the right people, sometimes through cookies or similar technology.
You can learn more about how targeted advertising works from the Network Advertising Initiative at https://thenai.org/about-online-advertising/how-does-it-work/, and opt out of it through:
- Meta (Facebook): https://www.facebook.com/help/109378269482053
- Google: https://myadcenter.google.com
- Bing: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/accounts-billing/security/personalized-ads-and-your-privacy
You can also opt out more broadly through the Digital Advertising Alliance at http://optout.aboutads.info/.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to run our shop: offering pieces for sale, processing payments, shipping your order, and letting you know about new arrivals, restocks, and offers.
Our Legal Basis for Processing Your Information (EEA Residents)
If you are in the European Economic Area, EU law requires us to have a valid reason for using your personal information. In practice, ours comes down to one of these:
- You gave us permission (for example, signing up for emails)
- We need it to fulfill your order or otherwise deliver what you asked us for
- We are required to by law
- We have a genuine business reason that does not outweigh your privacy rights, such as basic site analytics
How Long We Keep Your Information
Once you place an order, we keep your information on file unless you ask us to delete it. See “Your Rights” below for how to make that request.
Automated Decision Making
If you are in the EEA, you have the right to not be subject to a decision based purely on an automated process (like a computer algorithm with no human involved) when that decision meaningfully affects you.
We do not make decisions like that. Shopify, our platform provider, does run some basic automated fraud checks in the background, but these do not have a meaningful effect on you. For example:
- Temporarily blocking IP addresses linked to repeated failed transactions, for a few hours
- Temporarily blocking cards linked to a blocked IP address, for a few days
Selling Personal Information
Energy Stone Energy Outlet does not sell personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
Your Rights
If You Are in the EEA (GDPR)
EU privacy law (GDPR) gives you a few rights over your personal information. You can ask us to show you what we have, send you a copy, fix anything that is wrong, or delete it. Just email us using the details below and we will take care of it.
A quick note on where your data goes: since we run our store on Shopify, your information first passes through Shopify's systems in Ireland before it is stored, including in Canada and the United States. You can read more about how Shopify handles this here: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/privacy-and-security/privacy/gdpr.
If you are ever unhappy with how we have handled a request, you also have the right to raise it with your local data protection authority.
If you are in California (CCPA)
You have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to have it moved to another service, and to ask us to correct, update, or delete it. To use these rights, contact us using the details below, or let us know if you would like to name an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
Cookies
A cookie is a small piece of information saved to your device when you visit our Site. We use a mix of functional, performance, advertising, and content cookies to make your visit smoother, remember your preferences, and understand how people use the Site.
Cookies that keep the store running
Cookies for reporting and analytics

Most of our cookies are “persistent,” meaning they stick around for between 30 minutes and two years. A few are “session” cookies that clear once you close your browser.
You are always in control of your cookies. Your browser settings let you accept, block, or delete them at any time, usually found under “Preferences” or “Tools.” Blocking cookies may affect how well parts of the Site work. You can find more guidance at www.allaboutcookies.org.
Blocking cookies will not fully stop information sharing with advertising partners. To manage that, see the “Advertising and Analytics” section above.
Do Not Track
Browsers do not yet agree on a standard way to handle “Do Not Track” signals, so we do not currently respond to them differently.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal and operational reasons. We will post the updated version here.
